The Nike Air Max 720 Waves reinvents the classic Air Max 720 style with inspiration from retro '80s-style basketball shoes. Featuring a new mix of materials on the white-and-black shoe, this silhouette sees an elongated tongue tab, thin netting around the upper, and a padded backstay for ankle support. Top-stitching appears in the shape of circles and a grid-like pattern, while a full-length 720 Air system gives optimal cushioning. The Nike Air Max 720 Waves was introduced on October 26, 2019 as part of the D/MS/X collective, a line under the Nike umbrella that experiments with form.
